It's a bleak and dreary February now as I write this latest update, so I thought you'd all like to see the very colourful Autumnal photo at the top of the page, taken from our house. Looking back on 2009 it was a quiet show year for the Ravensett kennel. It started off well and Ravensetts had a great day at Bath Championship Show under breed specialist judge Pam Halstead, winning both CCs. Maureen and Steve Collier's Ravensett My Kinda Guy at Roszarke picked up his 4th. CC and our own Ravensett Bianca, 'Bibi', gained her 17th. CC along with the Best of Breed. Not to be outdone, after 2RCCs and winning the Limit class at Bath, Sally Rainey's Ravensett Annique at Wolmersdon won her first CC on 5 June at Southern Counties Championship Show under another breed specialist judge Isobel Foreman.

But it was then the turn for Bibi to take on maternal duties and she whelped a small but beautiful litter of 3 bitches and 1 dog to Sh Ch Bournehouse Royal Quest on 15 July 2009. One of the bitches remains at Ravensett and one has now gone off to live with and be shown by Graham and Karen Stirk of the Grakar English Setter kennel. Their photos, taken a few months ago now, are shown on this page. We think that they're absolutely gorgeous. Above is the Orange Belton Ravensett Blondie and below the Blue Belton Ravensett Royal Diamond. The dog puppy was also extremely promising and he has also gone to show home. Ravensett Ralph Lauren, or 'Freddie' as he is known, has gone to live with and be shown by Jane Thompson. A photo of hiim appears at the foot of the page.
