Established for more than 25 years, RAVENSETT is the small select English Setter kennel of Sharon and Graham Littlechild, based in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside, England. It is currently the home of 2 Show Champions and many other Championship Show winning stock and in total there have been 8 Ravensett Show Champions and two Irish Show Champion title holders.

Above is beautiful head study of Sh Ch Ravensett Romance. Unfortunately many of you will have read in Dog World in October that Romance had to be put to sleep well into her 15th. year. In her prime Romance was quite stunning, being both glamorous and elegant and indeed was the 'dizzy blonde'. She was wonderful to live with and very loving, although she never liked anybody to go past the house or paddock without a good bark! We miss her so much. On a happier note the end of October saw us return to the show ring with Sh Ch Ravensett Bianca (Bibi) and we were delighted when she gained her 16th. CC under judge Jennifer Barlow at Midland Counties Champ Show. She then followed this up with the RCC a week later at Setter & Pointer as well as winning the Champions Stakes class. However just as thrilling was a 2nd. CC at Setter & Pointer for Ravensett My Kinda Guy at Roszarke (Ben) along with BOB and then Reserve Best In Show.

Fantastic News. After his great day at Setter & Pointer Ben has immediately followed it up with his third CC, BOB and yet another Reserve Best In Show, just a week later at the Gundog Breeds of Scotland Champ Show at Edinburgh. Breed judge was Penny Williams and BIS judge Ron James. So it's now Show Champion Ravensett My Kinda Guy at Roszarke at just over 2 years old! On top of this Sh Ch Ravensett Bianca was also not to be outdone at GBOS and for a second week she took the Champion Stakes class, this time in a particularly strong and well attended class under judge Mick Howes. Mick had already previously given Bibi a CC and it's great to know that he still thinks she's looking good.

SUMMARY OF 2007
2007 was a superb year for the Ravensett kennel with Sh Ch Ravensett Bianca winning a further 8CCs and 7RCCs to leave her on a total of 13CCs and 13RCCs by the end of the Year. In addition to this she was the English Setter Association's Top Dog based on points scored for placings at Championship Shows throughout the Year. Furthermore Ravensett Faberge became an Irish Sh Ch, handled by Stuart Cummings and Sh Ch Ravensett American Gigolo at Somerled and Ravensett Monique added to their tally of CCs.
